We all develop and carry some level of bias that stems from mental shortcuts but ends up affecting the way we see the world around us. Inside the workplace unconscious bias influences our hiring and promotion practices, colors employee experiences, and impacts overall business performance. Instead of shying away from our biases, we must face them head-on, looking introspectively to recognize where they come from so that we can overcome these barriers to progress.

About The Presenter: Kim Graham Lee

Kim is the co-founder and serves as co-president of the Indianapolis Chapter of Conscious Capitalism. She also serves as CEO of the Integrating Women Leaders Foundation. She is a skilled unconscious bias expert presenting trainings on the topic across the US. Kim has a diverse business background including c-level leadership of start-up and growth companies and account management for some of the largest corporations in the world. She spent the first chapter of her career at Walker, a global marketing research firm. During that time, Kim identified her professional passion as helping grow other “good businesses.”

For much of the past 15 years, she has led emerging Indiana-based companies primarily in the technology space. Her “tours of duty” include serving as the CEO of Vontoo, President of OneBridge, President of Huford Financial Advisors, CMO of Bluelock, Interim CEO of NPower Indiana, and Executive Vice President of trueU.
